La Bottiglia di Vino Scartata
40.5" x 20.8" Oil on Linen. 2006
ABOUT THE PAINTING
The bottle of wine lay empty and abandoned next to another bottle. Reflecting their shared predicament and a variety of colors and shapes on their smooth surfaces, a pretty display for anyone who might notice. I have since recycled these bottles allowing them to take on a new shape and purpose.

Although I studied frame restoration at the Louvre in Paris, France, I prefer to sell my original oil paintings unframed due to the history of frames and the framing process.
I feel that the frame finishes the painting and offers the patron an outlet to express their response to the painting and to contribute to the completion of the artwork.
It brings me joy to see the various ways in which my patrons have chosen to complete their pieces.
